Bearcats blast Paradise, 29-6

By Richard Greene
Beau Ewton woke the Pilot Point Bearcats up from an early slumber Friday night.
The senior linebacker batted the fourth-down pass from Paradise quarterback Tanner Valentine 15 yards backwards.
The Bearcats responded to the wake-up call with a dominating effort the rest of the night on both sides of the ball in a 29-6 victory over Paradise at Panther Stadium.
"We were flat. You could tell in warmups we weren’t as intense,” Ewton said. “We got going after that.”
Pilot Point moved to 6-2 and 3-1 in District 5-2A Division I. Paradise fell to 0-6 and 0-3 in district.
The Bearcats defense that allowed Paradise to march into Pilot Point territory on its first drive before Ewton's stuff ended up holding the Panthers to 162 yards and came 3 minutes and 50 seconds away from the shutout.
