Chaparrals make it 2 in row over Cats

For a second straight year, the Aubrey Chaparrals will keep bragging rights over Pilot Point.
The Chaparrals built an early 23-0 lead and held the Bearcats at bay in the second half to pull off the 44-28 homecoming victory.
Aubrey blocked a punt and made a big goal-line stand on the way to building the big early lead.
Pilot Point ran a kickoff back and took advantage of an Aubrey fumble to get back in the game at 23-14 with four minutes left in the first half.
But Kyle Lynn led Aubrey to a touchdown with 23 seconds left in the second quarter to build the advantage to 30-14 at the break.
The Chaparrals added a pair of scores in the final frame to secure the victory.
