Bearcats charge past Knights

By David Hausman
Contributing Writer

After enduring an early scoring barrage by the Lindsay Knights, the Pilot Points Bearcats' defense pitched a shutout in the second half to allow for a rally.

The Bearcats fought back from a 10-point, halftime deficit Friday to beat Class A Lindsay 33-24 at Henry B. Schroeder Knight Stadium.

"Coach [Kurtis] Kloiger and all the defensive coaches made some adjustments at halftime and our kids executed perfectly," said Pilot Point coach Rob Best. "Lindsay showed us some looks in the first half that we had not seen before... We didn't panic when they jumped ahead. The kids did the job, and they will get the credit for the win. It's great to be 2-0.
