Bearcats deliver at Massey

By Veronica Hamlett
Staff Writer

Pilot Point treated its fans Friday night to what they had been waiting for all season: a dominating home win.
The Bearcats sent the crowd at Massey Stadium home on a high note as they rolled to a 56-26 win over the Boyd Yellowjackets last Friday.
Friday marked the third win in a row for Pilot Point (2-3) over Boyd (1-4). The Bearcats also sent the Yellowjackets home and out of the first round of the Class 2A Division I playoffs the last two years.
While Friday's win didn't have playoff implications, the Bearcats needed it. Pilot Point enteres the halfway point of the season and its bye week on an upswing after losing two weeks in a row to Celina and Nolan Catholic.
