Nolan rallies past Bearcats

By Veronica Hamlett

The Bearcats were left scratching their heads once again after a heartbreaking final quarter Friday night.
Pilot Point dropped to 1-3 after Nolan Catholic of Fort Worth came out of a heated second-half battle with a 36-29 win to remain undefeated.
The Bearcats were only down by one touchdown with the game clock dwindling and facing a fourth and four on their on 41. The Cats elected to go for the first rather than punt, forcing the back-to-back TAPPS Division I state champs to call a timeout and regroup.
The moment to pause worked beautifully as the Vickings' Royce Ledet zoomed in on quarterback Jeshua Price, whose pass for Mason Guthrie fell incomplete under heavy pressure and turned the ball over on downs.
