Cats silence Aubrey

By Veronica Hamlett

The capacity crowd at Massey Stadium seemed ready to burst Friday night as Pilot Point and Aubrey finally met for the season's most anticipated matchup.
One 61-yard touchdown run by Jarman Johnson later, and the Aubrey stands were left speechless.
After nine weeks of undefeated play from both teams, the Bearcats left no doubters with a 35-14 win, taking the district title for the second year in a row and spoiling Aubrey coach G.A. Moore's return to his alma mater.
"I thought we'd have the opportunity (to win big) coming in, and we came out of the chute firing," Pilot Point head coach Blake Feldt said.
