Less than a minute into Friday night's game, on the second play of Pilot Points first possession, running back Jarman Johnson caught a short pass on second and one and took off for 52 yards and a touchdown.
Johnson went on to score three more touchdowns to help Pilot Point beat Whitesboro 34-0., accounting for 24 points. Asked if fans could expect more dominating performances this season, he replied with an emphatic "yes," but also emphasized that the numbers on the scoreboard are what matter.
'I'm happy to win and keep the tradition alive," Johnson said.
The Bearcats' matchup with the Bearcats of Whitesboro began and ended about as well as fans could hope for, a defiant win to begin the regular season.
