The Pilot Point Bearcats are alone atop District 10-2A.

The Bearcats secured the top spot in the league Friday with a 50-14 blowout of the Valley View Eagles at Massey Stadium, and Callisburg's slip against Pottsboro.

The Bearcats can secure their first district crown in 10 years with a victory over Callisburg Friday.

"It was great to get the win," said Pilot Point coach Blake Feldt. "It makes for a big game next week. We haven't won a district title in 10 years. If we win, we can secure a district ttitle.

Feldt wasn't the only one to quickly look ahead to next week after the winover Valley View.

"Next week is even bigger than the Pottsboro game,"said Pilot Point senior running back Cooper Guthrie. "We haven't won district in 10 years. That would be a big statement."
