The homecoming fireworks began on the first offensive play for the Pilot Point Bearcats Friday night and never stopped.
Quarterback Seth Tilley raced 67 yards on the first play to set the pace for the Bearcats' dominating 50-0 victory over the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at Massey Stadium in the school's annual homecoming.
It was the second straight week the Bearcats (2-0), who entered last week ranked No. 3 in the Class 2A Associated Press polls, topped 48 points.
"Homecoming is always a special thing and to win in this fashion is good for our seniors and the team," Pilot Point Coach Blake Feldt said.
